Ah! I am loving all your posts! So excited that I signed up for your newsletter! I have recently been asked countless times by friends and strangers about sending my 3 year old to preschool in the fall and I honestly wasn't even thinking about it until the questions! I started the process of learning and researching and ultimately decided not to do preschool and probably also not standard schooling! I never saw myself as a homeschool mama but the Lord is changing my heart and showing me so many benefits of unschooling! Adding these books to my goodreads!

I love this post so much! My 2 year old just stopped napping and I am pregnant with our 3rd and trying to navigate a good way to do quiet time. Right now my toddlers share a room but we are in the process of making the new nursery a room for quiet time too so that they can get alone time. I find that they really need that now without the napping!

Oh these are some great ideas that I need to put into practice for myself. I work full time and take care of my 94-yo mom. I find myself making breakfast and lunch for her, and since we don't eat the same things, I often find myself wondering what the heck I'm going to eat because all I concern myself with is making sure I have food for her. Sometimes I end up with a bowl of Cheez-its for breakfast. lol

Thanks for sharing! And YES the Persian Stew sounds delicious and it's something we would both eat, so yay!

I try to have a Mom soup made for the week, so all I have to do is heat it up and add either a small little salad, a few veggies and hummus, some fruit on the side. My kids are still learning to like most soups so if I make one, it's usually leftovers for me anyway. I will sometimes do a veggie heavy goulash (which again provides Mom leftovers) and serve it will arugula. Or I'll have my own snack platter with hummus for protein and ditto on the fun olives, etc... I will sometimes mix juice and sparkling water in a pretty wineglass and that makes me happy. =)

I love all your decor! We do a multicolored tree too, which has really grown on me in the last couple years. I think moms in general need to remember that the tree isn't just a design showpiece, it should bring joy to your family. The multicolored lights bring joy to my family. 😉

I'm so glad it inspired you! My old house (where these pictures are from) didn't have any overflow space, so I had to get creative and store it all over!

This makes me realize I need more organization in my life. I really appreciate the ease of this and how great it truly is. That it's not all contained to one area of the house. It has a flow if you will. Of homeschool every where. With every thing.

I’m saving this! Such a great blog post!! Also, the Netflix Anne of Green Gabled was binge worthy — I couldn’t stop watching with my 9 year old. Although it was a little inappropriate in some parts (beware watching with your kiddos), I will say I loved it! I’ll have to check out the ones you mentioned above!

This makes so much sense! After reading your post, I started thinking about why I have my desktop in my bedroom upstairs where I hardly ever get to and when I do, I end up taking care of email, computer to do's, etc... instead of writing, creating a blog post, etc.... I'm rearranging my living room next to the kitchen so I can bring it down, but I don't have a desk option that will work at the moment. I love yours. =) Where did you find it? And that open shelf unit! =)

Gosh, I love your blog. You are very similar to me and even though I have two children, our "guided unschooling" days look the same. I hate breaking deep play in the morning! Sometimes though I have to step in because tempers are starting to rise, and I know it's a good time to start our routine - sometimes around 9.30am and sometimes not til 11am!
